WHEN you are old and gray and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

 

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

 

And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how love fled
And paced among the mountains overhead
And hid his face among a crowd of stars.

I love these two lines :"But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you, and loved the sorrows of your changing face". I wished there were sb loved me that way, and I could give it all to him. About the last sentences he might be might be talking about a existence of love when he vanished into dust. He would be upon the sky, among the crowds of stars, and adore and watch her from afar! In Lion King, Simba was told by his dad: when a person dies, he will become a star, watching him from afar.It must be a starry night, and the couple are watching them .
